Chiranjeevi was among the first to rise to the calamity and donate a generous amount to theTsunami Relief Fund. In 1988, when the cotton farmers of Andhra Pradesh got affected and committed suicide, he helped their families and provided financial relief to them. On the occasion of his films’ hundred days celebration, he donated relief to thefamilies of deceased cotton farmers.  Few prakasam dist farmers got help.
